Lares Trek with Inca Trail to Machu Picchu Details
The Lares Trek is a magnificent trek into Machu Picchu and Guiding Peru refers to our Lares Trek as the “hidden trail trek”, due to it’s remote location. On this 5-Day trekking tour, we will take you through some of the most unique and remote communities of the Cusco region to see how the locals continue to live like their native ancestors, the Incas. Our combination Lares Trek with Inca Trail to Machu Picchu Tour will give you the opportunity to enjoy the first 3 days on the remote Lares Trail, followed by 2 days on the short Inca Trail trek into Machu Picchu. You will enter Machu Picchu on the 4th day through the Sun-Gate and then re-enter Machu Picchu early on the 5th day to enjoy a privately guided 2 hour tour of the famous Machu Picchu Citadel. Enjoy the unique opportunity of spending a day learning of the Andean cultures at our porters village in Huilloc. Many guests consider this experience as the “highlight of their tour” and certainly a “once in a lifetime experience”. *One day before the trek your guide will brief you in your hotel lobby.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"Our guides Reuben, Marco and Celia were great. They took care of everything. I enjoyed the conversation and learning about their country. I liked the food and think the meals were well rounded. The hotels were clean and accommodating. Good team. I’d book with them again."
SEAN S., DENVER CO
"Awesome leadership, great preparation, outstanding food, a new adventure at every turn and....the contrast from 14000 ft. peaks to jungle canopy was what brought it all together....two worlds, one civilization, new friendships, and lots of fun. We'll be back!"
LOUIS C., SCOTTSDALE AZ
"One final note - over the four days, one couldn't help looking over at the other groups of trekkers, observing and even chatting with along the trail. From groups of 2 to what looked like other groups of 30+ people, I don't think I found any group that was as well looked after as our group. You can stop looking now - go ahead and book with Guiding Peru."
